Manjimup Artisan Truffles has purchased a warehouse in Claremont, as the business expands.
Manjimup Artisan Truffles is planning to set up in a Claremont warehouse following its purchase of the asset.
The company purchased 38 Graylands Road from private investor Jeanette Arndt for $3.84 million, five decades on from when it was last sold.
The 664 square metre building sits on 1,411sqm of land and was vacant upon purchase.
It includes a 368sqm front office and 296sqm rear warehouse.
RP Data shows that Muchela Pty Ltd, controlled by Manjimup Artisan Truffle directors Kerry and Wally Edwards, purchased the property.
Mr Edwards is a pioneer of the state’s truffle industry, and planted the first truffle in Western Australian in 1997, according to the company’s website.
Manjimup is considered the nation’s truffle capital, and produces more than 90 per cent of the country’s truffles.
The Claremont warehouse is expected to be used in a processing capacity, rather than being a shop front.
CBRE metropolitan investments associate Lachlan Andrew brokered the deal.
