International Goldfields managing director and chief executive officer Travis Schwertfeger has been appointed to the board of Alicanto Minerals, to take up the role made vacant by the departure of non-executive director Michael McKevitt.
Mr Schwertfeger is a non-executive director of Mongolia Resources and gained production and exploration experience in the role of project geologist while working for global gold miner Newmont Mining.
