Satterley buys Piara Waters site

Satterley Property Group will progress its plan to build a residential community and a school after acquiring a 31.36-hectare piece of land.

The group is proposing to build 412 residential lots, a primary school and a large sporting field in the land bounded by Warton Road, Mason Road and Lockeville Boulevard in Piara Waters.

The first stage is expected to be ready for sale in mid-2023 but the whole project is expected to last up to four years.

"We are pleased to be able to bring a high-quality, connected and affordable residential community to this thriving area,” Satterley Property Group chief executive Nigel Satterley said.

"Piara Waters is an increasingly popular area due to its close proximity to major roads, retail, employment hubs, medical facilities, and schools, and this is being reflected in strong house price growth.

"With a new high school directly across the road and a planned primary school within the site, we expect this new community to be especially appealing to young families."

According to the group, construction of the new primary school is expected to start early in the project.

The proposed school would feature sporting fields, a playground and a pavilion for community use.

According to CoreLogic data, the land was previously owned by Rich Haul Holdings.
