SRG Global has won $65 million worth of work after its Bugarrba Aboriginal joint venture secured a contract from BHP and it won two contracts in Queensland.
The Bugarrba Aboriginal JV, which is a partnership between SRG and the Njamal People, will provide shutdown engineered access services for BHP in the Pilbara.
The JV previously won five years’ work on Fortescue Metals Group’s Iron Bridge operations south of Port Hedland.
SRG also secured maintenance term contracts from Rio Tinto and Queensland Alumina, which operates one of the largest alumina refineries in the country.
The contractor will provide engineered access services at Rio’s Yarwun alumina refinery in Gladstone across a five-year term.
SRG will also provide specialist remediation work at Queensland Alumina’s operations at South Trees Island over a three-year period.
Managing director David Macgeorge said he was pleased to win term contracts with tier one clients BHP, Rio Tinto and QAL.
“These contract wins showcase our specialist skillset as a trusted partner to deliver maintenance services for our client's critical infrastructure in the marine, alumina, steel and iron ore sectors,” he said.
“With about $1.2 billion of new contract wins since July, many of them long term, SRG Global is in a period of significant momentum. Importantly, the contract wins are being achieved across a diversity of sectors and geographies, positioning SRG Global well for long-term, sustainable growth.”
SRG’s shares were trading up 0.69 per cent to 72 cents at market close.
