The Subiaco-based mining, construction and asset services company today announced it had secured the nine-month contract from Fortescue.
SRG will construct a 21-kilometre haul road at the existing Eliwana Mine site in the Pilbara.
The $1.7 million Eliwana mine and rail project commenced operation in December 2022 and includes a 30 million tonnes per annum dry ore processing facility and 143 kilometres of rail.
“We are pleased to extend our longstanding relationship with Fortescue and look forward to delivering these works for Fortescue in addition to the asset maintenance works we are performing across a number of Fortescue’s site locations,” managing director David Macgeorge said.
“SRG Global’s success is expanding our service offering to existing clients positions us well for long-term sustainable growth as we continue to convert our strong pipeline of opportunities.”
At market close, SRG shares were up 2.07 per cent to trade at 74 cents.
