SRG Global has secured a $35 million contract from BlueScope Steel to upgrade the wharf at Port Kembla, building on its work in the marine infrastructure sector.
The ASX-listed contractor told the market it won the contract valued at $35 million for specialist marine remediation services for BlueScope, a steel supplier and manufacturer.
Under the scope of work, SRG will undertake the reconstruction of front service duct, concrete remediation works, construction of the rear unloader beam and an extension of the wharf structure.
The local contractor will commence work immediately, with the work tipped for completion in 2026.
“We are excited to be awarded this contract that builds on our portfolio of specialist marine remediation projects across Australia,” SRG managing director David Macgeorge said.
“We look forward to applying our integrated capabilities through these works and developing our relationship with BlueScope Steel.
“This contract award recognised SRG Global’s proven capabilities and continued focus on the marine infrastructure sector.”
SRG said the contract award also built on its presence in Southern NSW, following the award of a $90 million Jervis Bay transport infrastructure project.
The contractor’s shares last changed hands at 77 cents, up 0.65, as of 3PM AWST.
