Subiaco-based SRG Global has secured $80 million in new contracts, including a three-year marine contract with state government trading enterprise Fremantle Ports.
The contractor has inked a deal with Perth mining company South32 for a two-year extension of its contract for works at the Worsley Alumina bauxite and refinery operations.
Under the deal, SRG will provide civil and road maintenance services, with the contract to begin immediately and be completed in 2024.
The company’s contract with Fremantle Ports comprises a three-year marine remediation contract for works at the Kwinana Bulk Jetty, including the design, supply and installation of a protection system and concrete repairs.
Kerry Stokes-backed BCI Minerals has also contracted SRG to provide earthworks and civil services to construct an evaporation pond and infrastructure for gas pipeline corridors and drainage at the Mardie Salt and Potash project.
SRG managing director David Macgeorge said the contracts were evidence of the company’s ability to add value for key clients through its diverse capability.
“The South32 contract builds on our six-year relationship at the Worsley Alumina site,” he said.
“The Fremantle Ports contract is a significant maintenance contract, strengthening SRG Global’s portfolio of marine remediation projects.
“The contract extension at the globally significant Mardie Salt and Potash Project demonstrates our ability to provide value-engineered services to our clients from project inception, and the capability to deliver critical infrastructure for the burgeoning salt and potash sector.”
The contract wins were received positively, with the company’s share price lifting more than 4 per cent to trade at 64 cents.
