Revo Fitness has announced it will open four new Western Australian gyms before the end of the year in Butler, Mandurah, Rockingham and Wanneroo.
These new locations form part of Andrew Holder-founded Revo’s goal of having 100 gyms across Australia by 2027.
The announcement follows on from news earlier this month that ASX-listed Viva Leisure struck a deal to acquire eight existing gyms in WA. Two of these locations are in Butler and Silver Sands, located near Mandurah.
As it stands, the company has 42 gyms, with this number to grow to 52 by the end of 2024.
Revo’s new 2400 square metre location – which will be based within the Rockingham City Shopping Centre – will open in September, with Revo Mandurah opening a month later.
The company’s Butler and Wanneroo gyms will be ready for business in November and December respectively.
Mr Holder, who started the business in Shenton Park as a 21-year-old in 2012, told Business News that the new locations were determined following an extensive consultation process with key stakeholders.
“It just came down to listening to our community – understanding where people wanted us to open and whether it fitted in with our network strategy and plan to keep growing our brand across WA,” he said.
“We’re really fortunate to have high-quality employees internally within our design and development and leasing teams, (who are able) to precure, find, develop and execute these locations.
“Also working with really high-quality landlords, who understand our brand and what we’re actually creating for the people of WA – which has been extraordinarily important for us.”
Mr Holder said Revo’s path towards 100 gyms by 2027 was under way, with several potential regional WA locations also being considered.
“We look at our network planning and club openings two to three years in advance,” he told Business News.
“So, we’ve got really strategic focuses in regional areas of WA, to keep providing our service to the people.
“We grew up here, we started our business here, so it’s important for us to provide our service to the people who have supported both us and our growth over a 12-year period.
“We’re looking at Bunbury, Dayton, Treendale, Margaret River and also up north. Everything is on the cards and active conversations are currently happening to be able to provide our service and offering to the regional communities of WA.”
