Sport and Recreation Minister Mia Davies said each of the four companies would submit a proposal to be reviewed and evaluated, with a contract to be awarded in early 2016.
“The operator will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the stadium and sports precinct, and will play a leading role in delivering the ‘fans first’ experience and attracting high-quality sporting and entertainment events,” Ms Davies said.
“The operator is expected to employ a number of full-time staff plus more than 1,500 casuals to fulfil a year-round calendar of activities and events.”
AEG Ogden is currently operating Perth Arena and until the end of 2014 managed the Perth Theatre Trust venues.
Perth Stadium Management has been established by the West Australian Football Commission, Delaware North, Live Nation and Ticketmaster, and currently operates Domain Stadium in Subiaco.
Nationwide Venue Management is the 'venue operator' brand for listed company Spotless, while Stadium Australia Operations manages ANZ Stadium, the former Olympics venue in Sydney.
Premier Colin Barnett said the 60,000-seat Perth Stadium project was progressing well.
“The state government received responses from a number of highly credentialed venue operators from around the world,” he said.
Construction of the new stadium is on schedule, with over 50 per cent of the piles already inserted into the site to support the stadium’s structure.
The first concrete slab was poured last week.
The stadium is being built by Brookfield Multiplex.
