Former Bayswater mayor and Ballajura MLA John D’Orazio has quit the Labor party and announced his intention to remain on as an independent. Mr D’Orazio said he planned to contest the new seat of Morley against Labor’s endorsed candidate, former journalist Reece Whitby, in the upcoming election.
