A NRW Holdings subsidiary has signed a four-year extension over a contract with Aberdare Collieries, valued at about $245 million.
Belmont-based NRW Holdings today announced on the market that its wholly owned subsidiary Golding Contractors would extend its existing contract mining agreement with Aberdare, a subsidiary of CS Energy.
Under the agreement, the term is extended to June 30 2030 with an option of a further two years.
According to NRW Holdings, the value of the four-year extension, including mine plan scope changes, is about $245 million.
NRW said Golding would supply all major equipment and the capital spend of about $10 million in FY2025 that is needed with the extension.
Golding will employ up to 100 people at the project with the majority of workers from the local Chinchilla or broader Southeast Queensland regions.
NRW shares last traded at $2.54 each, up 1.55 per cent as of 4.10pm AEDT today.
