MACA has secured a $74.2 million state government contract for highway and road maintenance services in the Kimberley.
The five-year contract, awarded by Main Roads Western Australia, also involves minor road upgrades within the region.
MACA will employ at least 23 people from the Kimberley to carry out the works, while 40 per cent of the workforce will be indigenous.
The new contract, awarded to MACA Infrastructure Pty Ltd, replaces an existing contract with MACA Civil Pty Ltd.
Work under the contract will begin next month.
Meanwhile, Perth-based Datacom Systems has secured a $10.6 million, three-year contract with the Department of Transport.
The works involve implementing a contact centre solution with an integrated knowledge management solution and delivering new technology to improve customer experience for both the Department of Transport and Main Roads.
Datacom will begin work under the contract in late June.
