Louis Vuitton will leave its upmarket King Street location and move into the Raine Square redevelopment in the CBD after signing a new long-term lease with Charter Hall.
Charter Hall regional development director Bradley Norris said the luxury brand would occupy 555 square metres of retail space on the ground floor of the Wentworth building, facing Murray Street.
He said Louis Vuitton had taken handover of the space and would start fitout in April to open in September.
“Their tenancy supports our redevelopment strategy to create a seven-days-a-week late night retail, dining and entertainment precinct, while providing even further amenity for the building’s commercial office tenants,” Mr Norris said.
“When we set out to revitalise Raine Square we wanted it to be a destination where CBD workers, shoppers and tourists could enjoy a range of great amenities in one central location.
“We believe we are delivering one of the most extensive, diverse and exciting retail offerings Perth’s CBD has seen in several years.”
Louis Vuitton is moving from 33 King Street where it shared the upmarket shopping desination with the likes of Chanel, Prada, Gucci, Tiffany & Co and Kailis.
The store joins Michelin star dumpling house Tim Ho Wan, meat-specialty eatery Hunter & Barrel and the 13-screen movie theatre Palace Cinemas.
Charter Hall said several other luxury brands would be announced in coming months.
When the second stage of the redevelopment is complete, the $200 million project will feature 46 retail stores, restaurants, a food hall and casual dining spaces.
