InteliCare kicking east coast sales goals

Western Australia-based InteliCare Holdings has continued its east coast expansion booking a significant order with Eremea Home Care Services in New South Wales. Eremea will initially take delivery of more than $150,000 of home care monitoring systems for use across its 1000 aged care and disability client base, including InteliLiving hardware and software and a 12-month subscription to the commercial InteliCare Pro platform.

Since listing on the Australian Stock Exchange in May this year, InteliCare has announced several important east coast transactions. These include distribution deals with Technology for Ageing and Disability ACT and with Rehab Hire in Victoria. In July InteliCare also received a cornerstone order from NSW Aged Care and Disability Services Provider CCNB, who will pilot InteliLiving for the next 12 months.

InteliCare’s InteliLiving hardware and software systems sales have increased more than 10-fold, to in excess of 300 systems today from just 25 systems in Q3 2019. Since March 2020 the Covid-19 pandemic has increased the isolation of the elderly at home and heightened concerns about health and well-being. This has led to a greater than predicted interest in InteliCare’s product and services, possibly underpinning the upswing in sales.

The company’s industry-leading artificial intelligence (AI) systems detect changes in activity and behaviour patterns from a network of sensors strategically positioned throughout the home. The sophisticated system sends daily messages about conditions and activity within the home by learning an individual’s daily routine.

If all is okay, members of the care team - family, carers or health care professionals - get a daily message letting them know. If the system detects movements which are out of the AI-generated daily routine, an alert is sent to the care team on their smartphone or other device.

Eremea is expecting to see its client numbers triple in the next 12 months. It plans to use InteliLiving to improve client outcomes, reduce client attrition, unlock unspent government package funds and create new active and passive income streams.

InteliCare Holdings Managing Director, Jason Waller, said InteliCare’s technology would allow Eremea to see in real-time how their clients are engaging with their surrounds.

“Through these insights Eremea will be better placed to work with their clients to plan for supports in way that is evidential, not speculative or assumption based,” Mr Waller said.

Eremea Managing Director, Meni Kritikos, said they were looking for a product to deliver real-time insights and a dashboard that was useful and visually meaningful.

“InteliCare’s capability will give us insights, which we currently don’t have, of how clients are living day to day with regards to their general routine and activities. These insights allow us to better provide and adapt support services contributing towards the client’s wellbeing.”

“Any capability that facilitates our clients to live independently in their community, better plan their life and continually enhance their day is an exciting addition to their lives.”

InteliCare Pro is a larger-scale subscription offering for care providers including aged care facilities, home care providers and hospitals. It integrates the InteliLiving output with a dashboard system enabling many residents to be monitored at the same time. This allows commercial care providers to triage services to achieve higher quality care to those who need it most, reduce travel and staff costs and maintain an audit trail when responding to issues.

InteliCare Pro also assists commercial carers to comply with the Australian Government's Aged Care Quality Standards. This means declines in physical and mental wellbeing can be detected through advanced analytics insights and trigger care interventions before emergencies arise. It allows the care team to focus on prevention, not just respond after the event.

The company raised $5.5 million in its initial public offering in May and has more than $3m at bank. It also recently received $400,000 research and development cash back from the Federal Government. With product sales and subscriptions on the rise, InteliCare is well-placed to pursue its primary growth strategy targeting packages for disability and home care clients and their families as this market develops and grows across Australia.
