Glask takes simple approach to growth

Glask Construction was founded in 2018 with the goal of delivering bespoke building solutions for industrial and commercial developments. 

The Ascot-based company has a national presence, with projects in South Australia, Tasmania and Victoria adding to its Western Australian portfolio. 

Under the guidance of managing director Kieran Glaser, Glask Construction has expanded its presence and gradually grown staff numbers to eight employees today. 

The company works with subcontractors and consultants to deliver projects and has expanded the capabilities of its team to manage a significant pipeline of work. 

Glask Construction specialises in pre-engineered buildings, which allows for faster build times and savings on raw materials. 

Its projects include the expansion of Australia Post’s distribution centre, a 27,000 square metre warehouse for furniture brand Nick Scali, and Teck Global’s workshop and office, all in Malaga. 

Interstate, Glask built transport and logistics facilities for Booth Transport in Tasmania and SA. 

The company’s goal is to move into larger-scale industrial and logistics developments and expand its remit while staying true to its bespoke origins. 

Glask Construction’s philosophy is to challenge the status quo of the building industry. Instead of competing on scale, Glask is focused on agility, quality and aligning with its clients. 

The past five years have been some of the most challenging for Western Australia’s construction industry, with Covid causing severe disruptions to global supply chains and significant cost escalation. 

This caused some builders to go under, with fixed-price contract models resulting in some projects being built at a financial loss. 

Glask Construction has adapted to the state’s rapidly changing building industry, embracing modular construction and developing relationships with local and global suppliers. 

The company intends to continue this approach as it grows further.
