Jiangsu produced 795 tonnes of lithium carbonate during September, taking total production for the quarter to 2,040t.
This represents a 15 per cent increase on production during the June quarter.
Sales volumes for the month of September reached 632t, taking quarter-on-quarter sales 9 per cent higher to 1,816t.
Galaxy managing director Anthony Tse said the results indicated that strategies to improve efficiency at the Jiangsu plant were paying dividends for the company.
"The record production and sales volume for September and for the September quarter are a strong indication that the ramp up at Jiangsu to achieve a positive operational cash flow and steady state design production capacity is on track and progressing well," he said.
Mr Tse said the Jiangsu plant remained on track to break even this year on the back of improving production results.
Galaxy shares were up 3.5 per cent at 5.8 cents at 11:30AM WST.
