Decmil wins $50m road contract

Macmahon Holdings subsidiary Decmil Group has booked a $50 million contract to work on the freeway link between Melbourne and Geelong.

Under the contract, the Perth Airport-based company will deliver the Ison Road extension, through Major Road Projects Australia.

The Ison Road extension in Werribee will connect with the overpass, to make a new freeway link between Melbourne and Geelong.

Decmil was previously awarded a $78 million contract to work on the Ison Road overpass, which is expected to be completed this year.

The company will start the works under the $50 million road extension contract early this year, to be completed in 2026.

“It is pleasing to see Decmil secure additional work with the state of Victoria and Major Road Projects Victoria who we have built a strong relationship with through the delivery of the Ison Road Overpass,” Macmahon managing director Michael Finnegan said.

“We look forward to commencing work on the extension project and successfully delivering a great outcome for our client.”

Shares in Macmahon Holdings last traded for 35 cents each, down 1.41 per cent as of 4.10pm AEDT today.
