Clough AMEC wins $20m Arrow Energy deal

The Clough AMEC joint venture has been awarded a $20 million engineering, procurement and construction contract at Arrow Energy's Daandine coal seam gas expansion project in Queensland's Surat basin.

Clough AMEC will deliver three new gas-driven compressors and an associated process and utility plant, increasing the current number of wells in the Daandine gas field by 22.

The expansion project includes the installation of new gas and water-gathering pipelines and additional well facilities.

The contract is set to run until the end of next year.

Clough managing director Kevin Gallagher said the JV would draw on its extensive experience in the coal seam gas sector to reduce costs at the project.

"We will work closely with Arrow Energy and our partner AMEC to deliver industry-leading safety, cost and productivity performance," he said.

The joint venture between Perth-based Clough and UK-based AMEC has operated since 2004, focusing on providing support services to the oil and gas sector.
