THE latest office building in Subiaco to reach practical completion is also the popular office precinct’s largest, with developers East Asia Property Group recently handing over the Computer Sciences Corporation building to CSC for fit-out.
CSC has committed to a long-term lease over 4,200 square metres within the 6000sq m building. Colliers International has been appointed exclusive leasing agents for the three remaining vacant areas of the property, which range from approximately 250sq m to 660sq m.
Colliers leasing executive Jeremy Robotham said interest in the remaining space had been strong.
“The quality of the building is excellent and given its obvious high-profile location, the property’s popularity has already proven to be substantial, particularly amongst tenant categories such as architects and advertising agencies,” he said.
In recent years Subiaco has grown in profile as an office location, attracting tenants including architectural firms McDonald Jones and Hames Sharley, marketing firms 303 Advertising and Adcorp Australia, radio station Nova 93.7, Clifton Coney Stevens and Toyota Financial Services.
The move by CSC to consolidate its operations from 140 St Georges Terrace and Quayside on Mill to Subiaco follows a growing trend both in Perth and internationally for some companies to locate to large floor plate suburban campus style accommodation, rather than CBD buildings.
