Building approvals jump 8.3 per cent

A RISE in apartment and townhouse approvals has fuelled a jump in national building approvals in July, according to the Australian Bureau of Statistics. Building approvals for July rose 8.3 per cent on last month to 14,288, up 9.1 per cent on July 2005.
