Grant Quasha has resigned as managing director and chief executive of Paringa Resources. Todd Hannigan, current deputy chair, will take over as interim chief executive until a suitable candidate has been appointed. Mr Hannigan was previously Paringa’s chief executive. Dominic Allen has also been appointed vice president of finance and will be based in the New York office. Mr Allen is a chartered accountant with over 10 years of commercial experience.
After an extensive international search, Ausdrill has appointed highly experienced mining services executive Mark Norwell as managing director and chief executive, effective September 17. Ron Sayers, Ausdrill’s outgoing managing director and chief executive, will formally retire on July 3, after 30 years of service. Theresa Mlikota, current chief financial officer, will become interim CEO and will report to chairman Ian Cochrane in an interim capacity as executive chair until Mr Norwell commences in the role.
Aoife McGrath has been appointed as Beadell Resources’ head of exploration and geology and will be based in Toronto. Ms McGrath is an experienced mining professional, having worked in multiple jurisdictions globally. In her 20 years in the industry, she has worked predominantly in gold mining and exploration.
Eric Ng has resigned as executive director of Ephraim Resources. The company has appointed Tang Nee Ooi and Tim Laforest as non-executive directors. Ms Ooi is a major shareholder in the company and a successful entrepreneur & advisor for numerous international companies. Mr Laforest has almost 10 years of extensive experience in corporate, transaction, advisory, commercial and legal roles and is the chief executive of Redfield Group, an alternative investment vehicle.
Michael West has resigned as chief financial officer and company secretary of Tempo Australia. Mr West joined Tempo in 2014 and was instrumental in supporting the company during its growth phase and diversification into new sectors. Scott Macdonald, who has 30 years of experience in finance, commercial and M&A disciplines, has been appointed as his replacement.
Thred has appointed Tina Ghezzi as head of sales and partnerships at AR Technologies, a Thred subsidiary positioned to be a leader in immersive media solutions. Ms Ghezzi is a global expert in immersive media, crafting her skills in Australia and the US where she worked for brands such as US Airforce, American Express, Disney and AT&T.
Chun Fong Leung is the first female to be appointed to the board of PLC Financial Solutions. Mrs Leung, a sophisticated businesswoman with real estate, mining and financial services investments in Hong Kong, China and Australia, joins PLC as non-executive director. Her appointment follows the decision by Gregory Starr to step down from the role.
