Dr Wilbert van den Hoek has resigned as executive chair of 4DS Memory, with current executive director David McAuliffe taking over as interim executive chair as the company looks to appoint a US-based chair.
Brightstar Resources has made some changes to its board structure as it advances its Laverton Gold Project and completes the transformative merger with Kingwest Resources. Current non-executive director Josh Hunt will take over from longstanding board member YongJi Duan as non-executive chair, and Tony Lau has been appointed non-executive director. Mr Duan has served on the board since November 2011. Mr Lau was a joint company secretary of Brightstar Resources for 7 years and has over two decades of equity capital & financial markets experience within Hong Kong & China, as well as investing in the mining industry within Australia.
Verbrec has appointed Mark Read as chief executive from 13 March 2023, as part of its succession plan to take over from Linton Burns who will be retiring in September. Mr Burns will also be resigning as a director. Mr Read has over 30 years of experience across public-listed and privately held engineering service companies nationally and internationally.
Viridis Mining & Minerals has appointed Faheem Ahmed as non-executive director, following the resignation of Michael Melamed who will remain the company’s chief financial officer. Mr Ahmed has experience in project evaluation, asset management, data analysis, lifecycle cost analysis and risk modelling including projects in the fields of infrastructure, mining, health and transport.
Tom Lyons, current non-executive director of WA1 Resources, will transition to an executive director from March and lead the company’s expanding exploration team. Mr Lyons has been with the company since July 2022.
