Shares in Darren Stralow-led Bellevue Gold dipped by 12 per cent early on Monday, following news the gold producer had revised its annual production guidance for the 2025 financial year.
Its shares eventually closed trade down 14 per cent to 98 cents, marking its lowest share price since 2022.
The ASX-listed gold miner told the market its new annual production guidance target would be between 150,000-165,000 ounces of gold, down from the original mark of 165,000-180,000oz.
Bellevue generated 26,230oz in gold sales during its December 2024 quarter at an average price of $3,339/oz – and said its production was impacted by lower grade.
Despite this, the gold miner reiterated remarks from its five-year growth plan in July last year, in which it expected grade improvements to improve, along with 90,000oz of production during the second half of the 2025 financial year.
Monday’s update follows on from news in October last year that the company had recorded a softer production during its September 2024 quarter, during a quarter Mr Stralow described as “pivotal” for Bellevue, due to it having begun its five-year plan.
Long term, the gold miner aims to produce 250,000oz per annum by the 2028 financial year.
As of December 31 2024, the gold miner had approximately $81 million cash and gold in the till, coupled with a debt of $100 million – although it said no principal debt repayments were due until the 2027 calendar year.
