Barrick Gold slashes 65 WA jobs

The world's largest gold mining company Barrick has slashed 65 jobs in Western Australia due to increasing costs and a weaker gold price.Barrick said 32 positions at its Perth office had been made redundant and 33 jobs would be cut at its ageing Plutonic mine in the state's mid west.
