Underground mining services contractor Barminco has secured a contract extension with Regis Resources, valued at approximately $180 million.
The deal, which has been extended until March 30 2028, will involve Barminco – which is under Perenti’s underground mining business arm – continuing to facilitate works at Regis’ Duketon gold operations in the Goldfields.
"We strongly believe that collaborative and long-term client relationships create enduring value,” Perenti managing director and CEO Mark Norwell said.
“The Barminco and Regis alliance agreement enables a framework for value creation and planning certainty for both parties.
“We are very pleased and appreciative to extend this agreement for another year and look forward to continuing to work with Regis."
Thursday’s update follows on from news in October last year that Barminco had secured a $157 million contact at IGO’s Nova nickel mine – a place where it has been a fixture at since 2015.
Perenti shares were relatively flat at $1.35, as of 8.15am AWST.
