B&B consortium in Alinta discussions

THE Babcock & Brown Ltd consortium has been forced back to the bargaining table after a last-ditch grab for energy utility Alinta Ltd by Macquarie Bank Ltd. The consortium confirmed this week it had entered into discussions with Alinta about a revised offer following the new Macquarie bid.
