This week's appointments include Glen Chidlow, Gavin Bain, Greg Lilleyman, Tanya Brown, and Paul McClintock.
Glen Chidlow has been appointed chief executive of the Kimberley Development Commission, commencing in February 2026. Mr Chidlow is currently commercial general manager at Broome International Airport and previously led Australia’s North West Tourism for 12 years, as well as holding a strategic development role at the commission. He has worked at the Kimberley Development Commission previously, as a director of strategic development on project delivery.
The state government has appointed Verian Group Asia-Pacific chief executive Gavin Bain to the Healthway board for a three-year term, following the departure of long-serving member Steve Harris. Professor Donna Cross OAM, a leading health promotion researcher and academic, has also been reappointed for a further three years. The appointments come as Healthway strengthens its role in the Cook government’s preventative health agenda, supported by the introduction of the first Cabinet portfolio for preventative health.
Greg Lilleyman has transitioned to executive chair of Genmin, an aspiring Gabon-focused iron ore producer. Mr Lilleyman – an experienced mining executive with more than 30 years of experience across major companies such as Fortescue, Rio Tinto and Global Lithium – joined Genmin’s board in July last year. By the end of 2024, he became non-executive chair, along with Andrew Taplin being appointed as permanent chief executive.
The University of Notre Dame Australia has appointed experienced business and public sector leader Paul McClintock AO as its next chancellor, succeeding Chris Ellison from January 1. Based in Sydney, Mr McClintock brings extensive governance experience from roles including chair of St Vincent’s Health Australia, Myer, Medibank Private, NSW Ports, Icon Group and CEDA. He also previously served as Secretary to the federal cabinet and head of the Cabinet Policy Unit.
PYC Therapeutics has announced that Peter Coleman has been appointed non-executive chair, effective from the end of its annual general meeting on November 18. Mr Coleman was CEO of Woodside between 2011 and 2021. This announcement comes on the back of news that Alan Tribe – appointed to the board in 2018 and remains a significant shareholder – would not seek re-election as a director. Additionally as part of its ‘board renewal’ process, the Perth biotech company told the market that Andrew Taylor had tendered his resignation as both chief financial officer and co-company secretary.
The Women and Infants Research Foundation (WIRF) has welcomed Tanya Brown GAICD as the new chair of its board of directors, succeeding Tony Walsh and Wylie Collins. Ms Brown brings to WIRF more than 20 years’ experience as a director with diverse operations across commercial property, hospitality, large-scale festivals, and philanthropy. Alongside her commercial leadership, she has served for over six years on the board of Special Olympics Australia, where she played a pivotal role as chair of the Perth bid to host the 2027 World Summer Games.
The Committee for Perth has announced that Paula Rogers will resign as chief executive just before end December 2025. Since joining Committee for Perth in January 2023, Ms Rogers has led the organisation through a period of growth, with membership reaching 134 member organisations, and delivered initiatives including the recent Perth 2050 Report and 2050 Summit.
