This week's appointments include David Fyfe, Dennis O'Reilly and Andy Fethers.


Infrastructure company GenusPlus Group has appointed former Synergy chief executive officer David Fyfe as chief operating officer. Mr Fyfe brings more than two decades of experience in the energy and infrastructure sectors, most recently leading Synergy through a major transition toward green energy. His appointment underscores GenusPlus Group's expanding footprint across transmission, battery energy storage systems (BESS), renewables, communications, and large-scale infrastructure projects across Australia.
Senior public servant Dennis O'Reilly has been appointed to lead the WA Electoral Commission in an acting capacity while incumbent Electoral Commissioner Robert Kennedy is on personal leave. Mr O'Reilly has more than 30 years' public sector experience and is currently deputy director general strategy and performance at the Department of Water and Environmental Regulation. He previously spent 10 years in senior roles at the Department of Transport including as executive director regional services. As acting Commissioner, he will oversee services for local government elections in October this year and be responsible for implementing any recommendations from the Special Inquiry into the Planning and Delivery of the 2025 WA State Election.
The Rottnest Foundation has appointed Andy Fethers to its board. Mr Fethers s currently the chief executive of the Royal Freshwater Bay Yacht Club and has been associated with the Rottnest Foundation for the past 18 months as an ambassador. He has had a 24-year career in professional sailing, winning two World Championships and competing for the Americas Cup four times. He has extensive experience in fundraising, strategic planning and project management.
Concept Fertility has appointed Dr Sebastian Leathersich as its new medical director as well as expanding its team of fertility specialists. Dr Leathersich is a specialist gynaecologist and Certified Specialist in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (CREI). As Concept Fertility’s medical director, Dr Leathersich will lead its team of fertility specialists, overseeing all clinical aspects of the organisation.
