Strike Energy chair John Poynton and chief executive Peter Stokes will depart the company as part of a leadership overhaul. Former Fortescue executives Shelley Robertson and Nev Power step into the top roles. Ms Robertson, Fortescue’s former chief operating officer, will replace Mr Stokes as CEO effective immediately, while Mr Power will succeed Mr Poynton as chair from July 1 following a board review aimed at streamlining governance.
Synergy chair Michelle Shepherd has been reappointed for a second three-year term, while Tanya Rybarczyk has joined the board as a non-executive director. Peter Clough and Denise McComish will retire from the board, effective May 8. Ms Rybarczyk previously spent more than 20 years with Wesfarmers, including as general manager of Kleenheat, and is currently a director of West Australian Ballet.
Perseus Mining has appointed Wade Bickley as chief operating officer, effective June 1. Based in the company’s Dubai office, Mr Bickley brings more than 25 years’ experience across gold and base metals operations in Australia and Africa. He joins from Appian Capital Base Metals, where he served as chief operating officer, and has previously held senior roles with AngloGold Ashanti, Anglo American and Cupric Canyon Capital.
Ausgold has appointed chief financial officer Ben Stockdale as chief executive, effective immediately, while former Fenix Resources manager Reece Olney has been appointed general manager of operations, overseeing its Katanning gold project. Mr Stockdale, who joined Ausgold in 2024, has held senior finance roles at OZ Minerals, Sunrise Energy Metals and Unity Mines, while Mr Olney brings more than 30 years’ mining experience across operational leadership roles in WA and beyond.
Mineral Resources has appointed Darren Killeen as chief operating officer. Mr Killeen has been with the miner for 17 years and most recently served as chief executive of engineering and construction, overseeing WA projects including the Onslow Iron development.
P&N Bank has appointed Steve Chugg as chief customer officer, effective May 14. Mr Chugg will oversee retail and business banking customer outcomes and growth across P&N Bank and BCU Bank. He joins from Australian Retirement Trust and previously held senior executive roles at Great Southern Bank and ANZ.
Alicanto Minerals has appointed Graeme Pettit as chief financial officer, replacing Susan Field. Mr Pettit is expected to commence before the end of the financial year and brings nearly 20 years’ experience across ASX-listed and private equity-backed mining companies, including senior finance roles at Liontown Resources.
CZR Resources has appointed Milan Jerkovic as interim chief executive and Alexander Neuling as a non-executive director following the resignation of managing director Stefan Murphy. Mr Jerkovic has previously held senior roles with BHP, Metals X, Wiluna Mining and Cyprium Resources, while Mr Neuling has experience advising ASX-listed resource and industrial companies on corporate governance, finance and compliance.
Triangle Energy Global has promoted chief operating officer Rory McGoldrick to chief executive, while Conrad Todd steps down as managing director to become a non-executive director. Mr McGoldrick has been with the company since 2023 and brings more than 20 years’ experience in oil and gas operations, project development and commercial management across upstream energy businesses. Mr Todd will remain on the board in a non-executive capacity following the transition.
