Aldoro lights up new Narndee nickel targets

Aldoro Resources continues its tour-de-force in Western Australia’s resurgent Murchison mineral field and is now testing a series of new nickel targets including a pair of strong off-hole conductors that were lit up by geophysics below its flagship VC1 discovery. The company recently completed its maiden drilling program over its exciting VC1 target, returning solid intercepts of massive nickel sulphides. Assays from sampling are currently pending.

The company recently completed down-hole electromagnetics, or “EM” surveys across its four diamond holes into the VC1 conductor, with EM also pushed down a fifth hole sunk by a previous explorer. Whilst it is early days still, in the modelling of the cutting-edge data returned from the surveys, it is beginning to look as though VC1 is considerably larger than previously thought according to Aldoro.

The company’s surface-focused EM surveys identified the primary target earlier this year, with subsequent drilling confirming the presence of a sulphide lode around 100 metres below surface that stretches across more than 300 metres of strike.

Down-hole EM has confirmed the extents of the VC1 target, setting the scene for a systematic drill-out of the conductor. In addition, the down-hole survey lit up two deeper off-hole targets below the primary conductor. The high-strength conductors sit immediately below the VC1 drilling, with one target situated between the first two drill holes in the south whilst the second and larger of the two conductors, extends below the untested northern strike extensions of the target.

The company’s drilling contractor moved to the VC3 target over the weekend, about three kilometres to the north-east of VC1 and already appears to be kicking goals as the bit chews through a prospective sequence of mafic-ultramafic intrusive rocks. Aldoro says it plans to return to VC1 to test the new down-hole EM targets in the weeks ahead.

The company’s “VC” sulphide nickel discoveries form part of its Narndee project located to the east of Paynes Find, approximately 400 kilometres north-east of Perth in WA. The project comprises three granted exploration licences which cover more than 220 square kilometres of the highly prospective Narndee Intrusion.

The company has utilised an innovative blend of data mining, mapping and electromagnetic surveying to identify a wealth of greenfields nickel targets across 54 square kilometres of Aldoro’s central Narndee project area. Interestingly, its success in this relatively small area must have a parliament of pundits wondering what other precious and base metal treasures lie beneath the red desert sands at Narndee.

Longer-term targets at Narndee are likely to include the Quandong Well copper trend in the southern tenement area and the Kaibye nickel-copper prospects in the west, however the company already looks to have a full dance card as it tests its nest of conductors in the “VC” area.

With Aldoro now boasting a healthy bank balance, courtesy of a recent capital raise and plans for more than 10,000m of drilling in the months ahead, the budding explorer is sitting in the box seat at Narndee, as buoyant nickel and copper prices underpin its success in this most fertile of base metal terranes.
