$A rises after help for EU banks announced

The Australian dollar is more than one US cent higher on Friday, after major central banks promised overnight to ensure US dollar liqudity to Europe's embattled banks.At 0612 AEST, the local unit was trading at 103.27 US cents, up from 102.17 US cents on Thursday.
