$A firms as Japan sees end of deflation

The Australian dollar has firmed after Japan's economics minister, Akira Amari, said Australia's second largest trading partner was halfway out of deflation.At 1700 AEST on Thursday, the local unit was buying 91.71 US cents, up from 90.98 cents on Wednesday.
