Vivek Bhatia is an experienced chief executive, having led a number of businesses during his 22-year career in financial services, government and management consulting.
Since 2018, Mr Bhatia has been the chief executive of ASX-listed general insurance and reinsurance company QBE's Australia Pacific division. He joined QBE from icare, the NSW Government corporation managing the State's insurance and care schemes, where he was the inaugural chief executive and managing director. Prior to that, he co-led the Asia Pacific Restructuring and Transformation practice at McKinsey & Company, was chief executive of Wesfarmers Insurance in Australia where he was responsible for leading the business through a transformation journey, and held management consulting roles a PwC and KPMG.
