With the wet season out of the way, King River has finally begun follow up drilling at Mt Remarkable in the East Kimberley, where drilling in November produced one of the year's most exciting gold hits. High purity vanadium is being tipped for greatness as a revolutionary force in battery storage of renewable energy. Perth's King River Copper may well have the largest and highest purity in-ground resource in the world in W.A. Last week the company proved it could produce the holy grail of purity levels at 99.5%, placing it amongst elite company around the world.

Metallurgical testwork on King River's giant Speewah vanadium deposit in the Kimberley has shown that it could produce super-high purity titanium dioxide, boosting the economics of the project. The latest leach test on Speewah concentrates produced 99.5% purity titanium dioxide. The high purity levels potentially open up new master allow markets such as the aerospace market for King River.

New assay results from the Mt Remarkable gold project, 200km south of Kununurra, suggest 100%-owner King River Copper has barely scratched the surface of this forgotten gold field in the East Kimberley. Gold mineralisation on the Trudi vein, which recently produced an 11-metre interval at 27.9 g/t gold, is now shown to extend over a strike length of 1km, three times its previously known extent.

King River Copper's excellent progress on metallurgical test work should unlock a new pathway for the development of its massive 4.7 billion tonne Vanadium/Titanium/Iron project near Kununurra. The Company is aiming to produce 99.5%+ purity vanadium pentoxide, titanium dioxide and iron whilst at the same time dramatically reducing the capex requirements via a new processing flow sheet.
