Tom Wisdom
Co-Owner, Managing Director / Plantagenet Wines
Tom Wisdom is the co-owner of Plantagenet Wines and sixth-generation descendant of Lionel Samson, the founder of Western Australia's oldest family business, Lionel Samson Sadleirs.
Mr Wisdom is a trained viticulturist and in 2021 took full ownership of Plantagenet Wines with his wife, Jo Wisdom. Mr Wisdom was a former director at Lionel Samson Sadleirs and an executive in two of its operating businesses. He was responsible for projects and strategic initiatives within the Lionel Samson Sadleirs Group.
Mr Wisdom is a member of the Samson family that established the business in 1829. Before joining the group, he worked in agribusiness and corporate finance, including as a portfolio director at Commonwealth Bank.
