
Tom Plant is a senior finance executive with almost 30 years of experience in various corporate and commercial roles. He has a background in investment evaluation, debt & equity funding solutions, and corporate transactions; and has worked on a number of significant and successful corporate debt and company transforming transactions, including several demergers.
Since beginning his career with Arthur Andersen as a Chartered Accountant, Mr Plant has also held various corporate finance and investment banking positions with Macquarie Group, Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein and Arthur Andersen Corporate Finance in Australia and the UK. He spent ten years with ASX-listed global mineral sands producer Iluka Resources where as treasurer, he was responsible for group corporate finance activities, financial risk management and treasury operations. Mr Plant was also the chief financial officer of Firefinch, Leo Lithium, and has been chief financial officer of Australian Vanadium since June 2023.
He is a Chartered Accountant with a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Western Australia, an MBA from INSEAD, a Master of Science (Mineral Economics) from Curtin University, and a Graduate Diploma of Applied Corporate Governance and Risk Management from the Governance Institute of Australia.
