Toby Swingler has over 15 years of experience across the telecommunications, information technology and energy sectors.
Beginning his career at SBS Television in Sydney, Mr Swingler worked on the transition from analogue to digital television. He was then involved in product development projects within the pay television sector.
Mr Swingler has also worked in the Asia Pacific region. He spent two years working in the Japanese education system, followed by a stint in Vanuatu delivering Ausaid-backed technology infrastructure projects. He returned to Western Australia and spent two years in the energy policy space with the Office of Energy and managed the installation of approximately half a megawatt of solar PV for a government entity. Mr Swingler had also spent 7 years as an energy research analyst at Bass Group, before joining the Centre for Entrepreneurial Research and Innovation (CERI) as chief executive in September 2022.
Mr Swingler holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Western Australia, and a Graduate Certificate in Energy Studies from Murdoch University.
