Sterling Buntine

Sterling Buntine is a Kimberley-based pastoralist whose family owns a series of cattle stations across northern Australia, including his base Bedford Downs near Halls Creek as well as Lissadell and Lansdowne in WA's north. The business was established by his father Noel and has been reportedly as big as 2.5 million hectares before a recent consolidation. The generally reserved Mr Buntine was recognised in Business News' wealth creators list around 2010. He came to prominence in 2016 as the spokesman for the BBHO consortium bidding for the vast landholdings of the S Kidman and Co pastoral empire. The Buntine family assets are estimated to be worth around $350 million.
