Stephen Howell has been the principal advisor for Effective Governance, part of the HopgoodGanim Advisory Group. He has extensive experience in corporate governance, as a culture and people risk consultant, forensic accountant, company director, company secretary, external auditor, corporate regulator and chief financial officer. Mr Howell conducts board reviews and evaluations, individual director evaluations, assists with director skills analysis and development, director remuneration advice, and professional development to directors & senior executives in applied corporate governance. He is a Fellow of CPA Australia, a Fellow of the Australasian Mutuals Institute, and a recipient of an Australian Day Medal for service to corporate governance in Australian and South East Asia.
