Simon Cheong has over 35 years of experience in real estate, banking and international finance.
He is chair and chief executive of SC Global Developments. Mr Cheong was the head of real estate finance for Singapore at Citibank, and director & regional real estate head for Asia (excluding Japan) at Credit Suisse First Boston.
In 1996 Mr Cheong established SC Global, a real estate and hotel and investment group specialising in structuring transactions.
He was twice elected president of the Real Estate Developers Association of Singapore for 2 terms from 2007 till 2010. He served on the board of the Institute of Real Estate Studies, National University of Singapore from 2008 to 2011 and was a board member of the Republic Polytechnic Board of Governors from 2008 to 2011. He was also a council member of the Singapore Business Federation and a non-executive director of Singapore Airlines.
