Shane Love is the National Party Member of the Legislative Assembly for Moore. He was elected the party's deputy leader in March 2020, with a key focus of restoring the integrity of a Royalty for Regions program.
Between 2004-2013 Mr Love was president of the Shire of Dandaragan, capping 12 years as a local government councillor.
Mr Love became deputy leader of the opposition after the 2021 state election. In late January 2023, Mr Love became the leader of Nationals WA and leader of the opposition following the resignation of Mia Davies. The National-Liberal Alliance was formed in February 2023 and Mr Love became the Shadow Minister for regional development, transport, jobs & trade, climate action, finance, federal-state relations, public sector management, and government accountability.
Following the 2025 state election, Mr Love retained his seat and his status as leader of The Nationals WA, but lost the title of opposition leader to Basil Zempilas due to the Liberal Party gaining more seats in the lower house.
