Sarah Court has extensive experience in Commonwealth legal work including restrictive trade practices, consumer protection and law enforcement litigation.
Ms Court was a full-time commissioner with the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission (ACCC) for 13 years, a former senior executive lawyer and director of the Australian Government Solicitor.
At the ACCC, Ms Court oversaw its enforcement & litigation program; chairs the Commission’s Enforcement Committee, Compliance Committee, Consumer Data Right Committee and Legal Committee; and sat on the Merger Review Committee and Adjudication Committee. Ms Court left ACCC following her appointment as deputy chair of the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC).
Ms Court holds a Bachelor of Arts (Jurisprudence) and a Bachelor of Law (Honours) from the University of Adelaide, and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the ANU. She is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
