Samantha McCulloch has over 20 years of experience in energy policy and advocacy within government, the private sector, and industry associations in Australia and internationally.
Following the completion of a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Bachelor of Commerce (with Distinction) from the University of Wollongong, Ms McCulloch received a Master of Public Policy (with Merit) from the Australian National University.
Prior to becoming chief executive of the Australian Petroleum Production & Exploration Association in May 2022, Ms McCulloch spent over 6 years at the International Energy Agency where she represented the interests of one of Australia’s largest energy export industries with a focus on energy, climate and environment policy issues. She had also held several positions in the Australian Government, working on energy security, energy market reform, mining and industry policy.
