Russell Barnes

Russell Barnes is a local government advisory director with over 10 years of experience in local government, including 6 years in the provision of client services with Moore Stephens and 4 years in the provision of audit services.

He commenced his career as an audit clerk with Ernst & Young in South Africa. Following a brief stint at university in Australia, he relocated to Zimbabwe where he spent 14 years in senior management roles at two major companies including a multinational construction company. Both those appointments culminated in him being appointed managing director. Mr Barnes has audit, financial and commercial experience as well as direct responsibility for a large number of Moore Stephen's local government clients.
