Ross McEwan CBE has extensive banking experience in the UK, New Zealand and Australia where he held senior management and chief executive positions.
Mr McEwan was group chief executive and managing director of the National Australia Bank from July 2019 to April 2024, and group chief executive of the Royal Bank of Scotland from 2013 to 2019. Prior to that, he held executive roles at Commonwealth Bank of Australia, First NZ Capital Securities and National Mutual Life Association of Australasia / AXA New Zealand.
In 2020, Mr McEwan was appointed Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) for services to the financial sector.
