Ronni Kahn AO is a social entrepreneur and the founder & chief executive of food rescue charity OzHarvest. She is a passionate advocate and activist renowned for disrupting the food waste landscape in Australia. Her mission to fight food waste and feed hungry people is supported by some of the world’s finest chefs.
Ms Kahn appears regularly in national media, serves in an advisory capacity to the government, and is a sought after keynote speaker. Her journey is the subject of a feature film Food Fighter, and her memoir A Repurposed Life has been published in 2020.
In 2020, Ms Kahn was named Australian Local Hero of the Year (part of the Australian of the Year Awards) in recognition of her work in founding OzHarvest. In 2019, she was awarded an Officer of the Order of Australia for distinguished service to social welfare, particularly through the development and delivery of innovative programs.
