Rod Antal has over 20 years of international mining experience across a number of metal commodities in corporate and operating businesses.

He was appointed president and chief executive of SSR Mining following the merger with Alacer Gold in September 2020. Prior to the merger, Mr Antal was Alacer’s chief financial officer from May 2012 and the president & chief executive from August 2013.

Mr Antal had also held various senior management positions within the Rio Tinto Group, including as chief financial officer of Rio Tinto Minerals and global head of shared services.
