Dr Robyn Lawrence graduated in medicine from the University of Western Australian in 1992 and has been the assistant director general for clinical strategy and planning at the Department of Health WA since December 2021.
Prior to joining the Department of Health WA in March 2020, Dr Lawrence was the chief executive of the South Metropolitan Health Service; executive director of Fiona Stanley, Sir Charles Gairdner and Osborne Park Hospitals; and an executive director of innovation and health system reform at the WA Department of Health. She was the incident controller at the Western Australia's State Health Incident Control Centre's from March 2020 to June 2021 where she led the state's COVID-19 response, provided advice & support around clinical matters related to COVID-19, managed community and vessel outbreaks, oversaw the state's hotel quarantine system and the rollout of WA's COVID-19 vaccination program, as well as developing COVID-19 outbreak plans for public and private hospitals, aged care facilities and the primary health care sector.
