Roby Zomer has over 9 years of strong corporate and operational experience within the field of eco sustainable projects, and achieved international success within the biotech and agritech sectors.
Mr Zomer was also founder and chief executive of Green City Urban Recycling, an Israeli renewable energy company with strong social and environmental values, where he was a representative of the biofuels industry to the Government of Israel, giving him an extensive background in international and government relations as well as emerging industries. He also led the 48% sale of the company to the high profile global defense systems company, RAFEAL (inventor of the Iron Dome, a mobile all-weather air defense system). Mr Zomer was also responsible for establishing energy projects in Brazil, Italy, Montenegro and Jordan.
Mr Zomer founded MGC Pharmaceuticals in 2015 and has been instrumental in developing the company’s research and development operations. He played a critical role in progressing its epilepsy and dermatological skin care research programs, which led to clinical study to evaluate its medical cannabis product as a viable treatment for epilepsy amongst children and adolescents at University Children’s Hospital Ljubljana, one of the largest hospitals in central Europe.
