Lindian Resources has taken complete control of its Kangankunde rare earths project in Malawi by making an early payment of the final US$10 million tranche to acquire the remaining 33 per cent of the project from Malawian vendor, Rift Valley Resource Developments Limited. The transaction now takes the company to 100% ownership of the project, well ahead of the original July 2026 final payment deadline.

Lindian Resources has bagged $91.5 million in new funds from a heavily oversubscribed raising to kick off stage one construction at its world-class Kangankunde rare earths mine in Malawi. Iluka Resources is already on board with an offtake deal for 6000 tonnes of concentrate per year for 15 years and a $20 million construction loan, allowing Lindian to reach first production in late 2026.

Lindian Resources can now significantly increase its rare earths mining area by almost three-fold at its Kangankunde project in Malawi after receiving departmental approval for its stage two modular expansion plan. It is a further positive step forward in the company's plans to supercharge its stage-two expansion of the world-class rare earths project that boasts a massive high-grade rare earths deposit.

The seismic deal for the company cements Kangankunde as one of the pre-eminent rare earths developments on the planet, as Iluka scrambles to lock in a strategic rare earths supply for Australia.

Lindian Resources has topped up its coffers with a double shot of cash totalling just under $1.65 million from the exercise of 10M unlisted options at $0.12 per share for $1.2M and a $448,753 R&D refund. The federal Research and Development Tax Incentive Program refund is for Lindian's process development and metallurgical testwork conducted to improve beneficiation at its massive Kangankunde rare earths project in Malawi.

Lindian Resources is building momentum at its Kangankunde rare earths project in Malawi, with funding offers from Gerald, Ecobank and others in play. Site works are underway, a monazite offtake deal is in place, and ANSTO has begun test work on downstream options. An optimised feasibility study shows Kangankunde could become a global rare earths supply chain enabler - and soon.

Lindian Resources is juggling a slew of financing proposals from leading African and European commercial and investment banks, for its world-class Kangankunde rare earths project in Malawi. The company says it is riding a wave of financial momentum, with multiple funding proposals under due diligence to bankroll Kangankunde's Stage 1 continued development.

Lindian Resources has executed a binding agreement to grab the remaining 25 per cent share of the Lelouma bauxite project in the African nation of Guinea to take full ownership of the tier-1 asset. The company will be targeting direct shipping ore from the current resource containing a whopping 900 million tonnes grading 45 per cent aluminium oxide.
